Frequency Shift Key - Wired Train Bus

FSK based Wired Train Bus for push pull operation of locomotives (WAP7/WAP5) having MVB vehicle bus. Due to the long distance between the push pull locomotives (typically upto 24 coaches). The data signal viz. Logic ‘0’ and logic ‘1’ can be transmitted by doing FSK modulation of the carrier using the data signal. A boolean ‘0’ can be transmitted by lowering the frequency of the carrier signal to a fixed value (say FL) and logic ‘1’ can be transmitted by increasing the carrier frequency to a higher fixed level (say FH). Hence, a train bus data stream having logic ‘0’ and ‘1’ will be transmitted using a sine wave whose frequency will change to FH or FL depending upon the state of the data signal (0/1).
